Our Experts

Robert Elliott, M.S.

has nearly two decades of domestic and international experience in climate adaptation, nature-based solutions, wildlife habitat conservation, carbon capture, and food security initiatives. This experience has included lead roles in forest conservation and restoration, precision agriculture, and sea-level rise vulnerability projects. Most recently, Rob has used Python and a variety of spatial and remote sensing tools to develop and automate GIS processes for green stormwater infrastructure planning and design.  Rob has a bachelor’s degree in biology and two master’s degrees (agriculture and GIS).

Michael Wissner, M.S.

is a geographer supporting non-profit research teams to integrate geographic information systems (GIS) to enhance strategic decision-making and visualize spatial information in novel ways.  He has over twelve years experience applying geographic information science to provide insights to decision-makers facing complex challenges in fields as diverse as marine conservation and fisheries management, international development and global migration, real property valuation and modeling, and transportation planning.  Mike holds an M.S. in Geography and Environmental Systems from the University of Maryland.
